Dr. Glenda Aleman has experience of over 25 years in the field of optometry. Dr Aleman is certified on several reshaping myopia control lenses such as Euclid, paragon CRT, OK contacts and GOV including the new FDA APPROVED Myopia Control Soft Daily Contacts MiSight. Dr. Aleman is also certified in the use of scleral lenses such as Europa and Zen lenses.

Dr. Salima Thanawala is a dedicated and skilled optometrist with a profound passion for myopia control. Graduating in 2023 from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Optometry, Dr. Salima brings a comprehensive understanding of eye care shaped by a strong academic background and hands-on clinical experience.

Before embarking on her optometric journey, Dr. Salima earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Florida International University in Miami. This foundation not only deepened her understanding of biology but also sparked a keen interest in vision science and optometry.

Dr. Salima started her professional career at iSmart Vision Care, Sunrise Eye Care, and OK LOVE Myopia Control Experts, where she continues to work today. These positions have provided invaluable experience in managing a wide range of eye conditions, with a special focus on myopia control. Driven by a long-standing commitment to this area, Dr. Salima is dedicated to employing the latest advancements and personalized strategies to effectively manage and slow the progression of myopia in her patients.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Salima is dedicated to empowering patients with the knowledge and tools needed to preserve optimal vision and eye health throughout their lives. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, the American Optometric Association, and the Florida Optometric Association.

When she's not in the office, Dr. Salima enjoys relaxing at the beach and exploring new brunch spots around Miami!
